And (of course!) the 7 stopped working after a while, and I had to re-install 7 and all the programs and drivers :-(Дo you know of any downloads (preferably from Microsoft) that could fix this problem, or do I have to install 7 all over again?

I did not install the Windows 7 myself though, a computer shop did that for me because the XP I used previously wan't compatible with the motherboard in the machine. I have checked the 'Turn on or off windows features' but there is no 'Windows Vurtual machine' in the list of windows features. Scroll down to the Windows Virtual Machine and verify the checkbox is ticked. If the Windows Virtual Machine is not showing up in your Program list, or through the Program Files on your computer, be sure to go into your Add/Remove Programs > and click on the Turn on or off Windows features.
